Area D5

Excavation
Area D5 is the south-western extension of the area D1, on the southern slope of the mound.
The central-eastern part of this area was excavated as "lower D1" during several seasons in the 80s - 90s by the Canadian team of the University of Saskatchewan (dir. Christopher M. Foley). In 2005 the area was reopened, with additional western wing.
