Rosa Marķa Albert is a Research Professor from the Catalan Institution for Research and Advanced Studies (ICREA) based at the Department of Prehistory, Ancient History and Archaeology of the University of Barcelona (Spain).
She was educated in the University of Barcelona and the Weizman institute as an archaeo-botanist specializing in phytolith analysis. She has published numerous journal articles about phytolith analysis pertaining to both prehistoric and historic periods in sites in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
