Tel Dor 
John Berg
has headed the architectural team at Dor since 1982, and served as the Senior Field Director of the new expedition (2004-2007).
John received his M.A in anthropology from California State University, Sacramento in 1986. He began his career at Dor as a graduate student in 1981 and has been a field supervisor, architectural draftsman, and surveyor, not only at Dor, but on other excavations in Israel and Pakistan.
In his home state of California, Mr. Berg works for Far Western Anthropological Research Group, one of the most prestigious Cultural Resources Management firms in the state. As a Field Director for Far Western he is responsible for conducting archaeological surveys and excavations throughout the western United States for federal, state, and private development projects.
He has contributed to and has authored numerous reports and articles concerning California and Nevada archaeology and Dor.
