Renate Rosenthal-Heginbottom
Educated in Germany and Israel, she received her Ph.D. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
She taught classical archaeology at the Hebrew University and in Göttingen. She has written many studies on Hellenistic and Roman pottery, and her book Ancient Lamps in the Schloessinger Collection, is a standard reference work.
Dr. Rosenthal-Heginbottom has been on the Tel Dor staff since the beginning of the excavation in 1980, and is responsible for the publication of late pottery and small finds.
