Laszlo Bartosiewicz

Laszlo Bartosiewicz, chief archaeo-zoologist at Dor in 1999-2003, was trained in animal science and archaeo-zoology at the Agricultural University, Godolu, Hungary, and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (Ph.D. 1987, D.Sc. 1998). He is the head of the Department of Medieval and Early Modern Age Archaeology at the Institute of Archaeological Sciences in Lorand Eotvos University in Budapest, Hungary and vice president of the International Council of Archaeo-Zoology. He excavated widely in Europe and the Middle East and published over 150 articles on the archaeology of mammals and fish, ancient animal exploitation and cultural changes in food habits.
